While it can only be estimated, experts generally agree on the figure of 108 billion people ever being born in to this world. Today we are estimated at over 7 billion living people. This can lead to the unscientific conclusion that a few faces may have been recycled in the process, as it’s got to be difficult to keep coming up with unique faces outside of family resemblances.
And now we have the very unscientific proof that a few famous faces have indeed been recycled from famous historical counterparts. Look below at the unsubstantiated evidence that we are indeed salvaging facial features from antiquity.
1. Michael Cera
Spanish painter Ignacio Zuloaga paints Dona Carmen Arconda in 1940 and captures the essence of Michael Cera.
2. Keanu Reeves
This 1875 picture of French actor Paul Mounet screams out as Mr. Reeves.
3. Justin Timberlake
This 1870s mugshot captures Timberlake in a whole new light…
4. Conan O’Brien
Marshall Harvey Twitchell (1840-1905) – Civil War veteran, landowner, businessman, politician, and apparently fore-bearer to Conan O’Brien.
5. Alec Baldwin
Joseph G. Kolans (photograph, 1964) was an Army veteran and member of the Detroit Sportsman Congress, and a deadringer for Alec Baldwin.
