You probably know Blake Lively from her role as Serena van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl. Serena was the girl who had it all: the perfect boyfriend, glamorous life, the best friend anyone could ask for, and one of the television’s most enviable wardrobes. 1. The family

Blake Lively is born on August 25, 1987, in Los Angeles, California. She grew up in a family where talent runs in the genes. Her two sisters Robyn Lively and Lori Lively, as well as her two brothers Jason Lively and Eric Lively all work in showbiz.

2. Her parents

Blake Lively’s dad is actor Ernie Lively, who had a role in action-comedy television series The Dukes of Hazzard in the 80s. Her mother, Elaine, is also an actress. Both of them taught acting classes and used to take Blake with them – it is where she learned the basics of acting.
