Use These 16 Easy Home Remedies To Get Rid Of The Tan From Your Hands

Many of us are fond of tanned skin and during summer usually, we neglect using creams with SPF. Even though the glowing tanned skin is beyond stunning, you might become a victim of excessive tanning. However, now that the good hot summer it is over, we can’t really show the tanned skin, except our hands, maybe.

1. Mask with yogurt and turmeric

This mask is efficient in removing tan because according to a study the yogurt which contains probiotics helps make your skin glowing. Another study shows that it is also good for elasticity, brightness, and moisture.
You will simply need a bowl of chilled yogurt and a pinch of turmeric. Mix them together thoroughly and apply the mixture to your hands. After 20 minutes rinse it with cold water. Repeat this every day for two weeks in order to see results.

The aloe is rich in antioxidants and it is really beneficial for the skin. It is used to treat sores and burns, including sunburn. Not only it protects our skin from radiation damage and eliminates the radicals but it also lightens the skin and helps in removing tan.

All you need is a little aloe vera gel that you can get from a broken aloe vera leaf or from a tube from the market. Apply it on the hands and leave it overnight and wash them in the morning. This easy remedy can be repeated every night before going to bed.
Caution:
If you apply aloe vera gel sometime during the day, make sure you don’t go out without applying sunscreen. The aloe will make your skin photoprotective which might lead to more tanning.

You will need the freshly squeezed juice from three to four lemons. Mix the lemon juice with water in a bowl and soak your hands in the mix for 20 minutes. After that wash your hands with cold water.
Also, you can add four tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice directly to tough tan-stained areas like your elbows for instance. Wash it off after twenty minutes with cold water.

4. Cucumber

The juice of the almighty cucumber can work miracles with tanned hands. It is known for its cooling and soothing effects. You will need two tablespoons of fresh cucumber juice and one tablespoon of lemon juice, as well as some turmeric. Start mixing all ingredients well until you get a paste. Apply it on your hands, let it stay on for 30 minutes, and finally, wash it off with cold water.
Also, you can use freshly cut slices of cucumber to rub on your skin directly. Wash it off after 15 minutes with cold water. You can do this every night for around two weeks.

The almonds are rich in riboflavin, antioxidants and vitamin E. This is an amazing and effective pack for healthy skin.
You will need only five to six almonds that you will leave soak overnight. Blend them with some milk until you get a nice smooth paste. Apply it on your hands and also leave it overnight. Using cold water wash it off in the morning.
Alternatively, grind ten fresh almonds and mix this with a little amount of sandalwood oil. Apply it on your hands, leave it overnight and rinse with cold water in the morning. Do this for two weeks every night.

6. Gram Flour And Turmeric

You will need the following ingredients:

  • Two tablespoons of gram flour
  • A pinch of turmeric
  • One tablespoon of milk
  • One bowl of cold rose water

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl of rose water until you have a smooth paste. After that apply it on your hands and leave it to dry for 20 minutes. Finally, wash it with cold water.

You will simply need three medium-sized potatoes. First, peel their skin, slice them into chunks and blend them into a paste. After that apply the paste to your skin, leave it for 30 minutes and finally, wash it off with cold water.
Alternatively, you can cut a raw potato and rub it on the tanned portion of your hands.

8. Honey And Lemon Juice

Mix two tablespoons each of milk powder, honey, lemon juice, and almond oil in a bowl until you have a creamy mixture. Apply it on your hands and wash it after twenty minutes. You could keep this cream for one week and repeat the procedure to three times a day.

9. Sandalwood

You will need only two tablespoons of sandalwood powder, and two tablespoons of turmeric powder as well as few drops of rose water.
Mix them all until you get a thick paste. Afterwards, apply it on your hands and let it stay for thirty minutes. Using cold water wash it off your hands and repeat twice a week before going to bed.

You need one orange and a half to one cup of milk. First, remove the orange peels and grind the oranges until they are powdered. Afterwards, add the milk to the powder and mix them into a paste. Leave this paste on your hands for 15 minutes and finally, rinse it off with water.

12. Petroleum Jelly

Simply apply the required amount of petroleum jelly on your hands before going to bed and cover them with cotton gloves. Leave it overnight.
This is an easy and also cheap way to make your hands smooth and radiant.

Take a mild to medium skin scrub and rub it over your hands using circular motions. Also, you can use a mixture of salt and lemon juice to scrub over your hands.
This is a very simple way to reduce the darkness. Exfoliate the skin of your hands two times per week.

14. Borax powder with Glycerine

For this remedy, you will need three spoons of borax powder, two spoons of glycerine and two cups of rose water. Mix all the ingredients together and apply the paste to your hands. Leave it for up to 20 minutes and finally wash it off with cold water.

15. Oatmeal and tomato juice

You will need one medium-sized tomato, a half cup of oatmeal and
two to three tablespoons curd. Start by mashing the tomato and extract its juice. Continue with mixing it with the oatmeal and the curd. Leave this paste on the skin on your hands for 15 minutes and wash it off with water. The oatmeal helps in removing dead skin cells because it is known as a good exfoliant, and the tomato is good in removing the excess oil from the skin.

16. Raw Milk

Apply half a cup of raw milk over your clean hands and let it on for 15 minutes. After that wash your hands with warm water.You can repeat this simple remedy every day for two weeks.

The milk is good for lightening the skin on your hands and removing the tan. Also, it will clean your skin and make it smoother.
