I remember one time when I was three years old, I saw a short part of The Addams Family movie on VHS. It was a scene where Thing was knocking on the door, although I don’t exactly remember the rest of it. If you have seen the movie, along with the cartoon series of the same name, you probably know who Wednesday Addams is. Do you remember that in the 1991 movie, she was portrayed by Christina Ricci?
It was certainly fitting, as Christina Ricci always seems to take up dark and eccentric roles in whatever movie she acts in. The 36, soon to be 37-year-old actress of Italian and Irish decent actually has quite a few unique roles under her belt, debuting in the 1990s movie Mermaids, and then, of course, her role as Wednesday Addams in 1991’s Addams Family, alongside Raul Julia, Anjelica Huston and Jimmy Workman.
If you want to learn more, then here are 15 unique facts about the Addams Family star Christina Ricci.

She was born and raised in Santa Monica, California. She was the youngest of four children of real estate agent Sandra Murdoch and lawyer Ralph Ricci.
When asked about her ancestry, she stated: “The Italian blood has been bred out of me. There’s an Italian four or five generations back who married an Irish woman and they had all sons. So they married more Irish women, there were more sons, and more Irish women. Now I’m basically Scots-Irish.”
2. When she was 8, her talent was discovered by a talent agent in a school play.
