Since George Washington was elected the first president in 1789, 44 men have served as president of The United States. It’s difficult to imagine and picture what American presidents were like before they left their marks on domestic and foreign policy and became the most powerful people in the free world. When you think of a president you think of someone serious and important who spends a lot more time reviewing budgets and meeting with world leaders. However, they are fairly simply guys just like us. It might surprise you to find out that Jarry S. Truman was a timekeeper in the railway, or that Ronald Reagan was a radio sports announcer.
