Out of all the rooms in your house, the kitchen is the most likely to get really dirty. If you’re seriously fed up with cleaning up your kitchen and it getting dirty all the time, then here are some tips that you should follow to keep your kitchen as clean as possible.
1. Towel rack
These things aren’t just for the bathroom. Get one and put it on the kitchen counter, and this will help you keep your dish towels neat and organized.
Also, to keep your towel presentation looking new, put one new, never-used dish towel in your rack. This will give a really fresh look to your towels and make them ALL appear new.
2. Keep your microwave sparkling
One thing in the kitchen that gets very stinky and gross fast is the microwave. If this is the case for you too, then here’s what you should do.
Wet a paper towel with water and essential oils, and put it in the microwave for 3-5 minutes. When it’s done, wipe down the microwave using the towel. The microwave will smell lovely and the hot water will loosen the grime making it easier to wipe it up.
3. Keep the coffee pot sparkling
If you’re a faithful coffee drinker like me, then that coffee pot tends to get stained awfully fast. To sparkle it up, fill it up with crushed ice, salt and some freshly squeezed lemon juice. Swirl the mixture around and then wash it out to get a very clean pot.
4. Use wooden skewers
А wooden skewer can actually really help you remove the grime from the tight spots such as the crevices in the kitchen.
5. A diffuser is a good investment
A diffuser is a good investment if you don’t want your kitchen to smell of cooked food even when you’re done. Just put a drop of essential oil (or the specialized diffuser blend) and watch it fill the kitchen with wonderful fumes.
6. Keep that sink shiny
When you’re done washing the dishes, get the sink sparkly clean by sprinkling a little bit of baking soda into it and giving it a wipe down.
This will disinfect it and make the metal shine like new.
7. Cycle out your sponges
While sponges are great, they hold onto tons of bacteria, so it’s probably a good idea to cycle them out regularly.
