Long story short first: Four sisters are being compared to the Kardashians in their native Australia. But unlike them, they really have a talent.
Long story: If you are already sick of keeping up with the Kardashians, there is a whole new pack of sisters to start watching. Sisters Ella-Jean Coffey, 22 and 17-year-old Holly-Daze have reached over one million followers on the social network, Instagram.
While they have no relation to the actual family, they are aware of the comparison.
“We obviously can see why we’re compared because of the whole family unit, but, obviously we’re talented — and not fabulously wealthy,” the sisters said.
Very talented indeed and not for taking amazing selfies or bikini photos (even though they rock those). The tanned sisters are talented in that they are competitive surfers with real ambition to make it to the top of the surfing world. Now things get more interesting.
As a matter of fact, they’re actually competing this week as wildcards at the Australian Open of Surfing in Sydney.
The other reason why they get compared with the reality show family is that there are enough sisters to keep an eye on. Jackson, 21, Ruby-Lee, 16, and Bonnie-Lou, 13 are also accruing quite the fanbase on Instagram.
Their life was not always this fun from the beginning, the first years of their life were spent on the road travelling around their home country in a caravan while being home-schooled.
The Coffeys are not in the IMG modeling book and are sponsored by surfwear company Billabong. They also hope to qualify for a surfing pro tour which will see them travel the world competing. Aww, we would love that.
Move over Kardashians, these Aussies are coming for your fame.
