Finding the right bra is always a tricky process, but every woman has to do it eventually. Once we hit puberty, we all learn the basics of measuring for our band and cup size, but girls that struggled with falling straps or pulling up a falling strapless version, know that those basic numbers are not enough to get the right fit. So what’s left to do you ask? Easy, learn the right way by yourself but also Bras “N” Things are here to show us the process.
How to fit a bra correctly
It’s very important to fit correctly, snug but not too tight. It should lie on your back in a straight line with the bottom of your cups. You have the wrong size if it rides up. It should be tight enough so you could run your fingers under the band all the way around to your arm area. As your bra stretches around your body, you’re supported but not strangled.
Of course straps are a tricky step. You don’t want them to be too loose because they can fall down, and you don’t want them too tight to leave marks. So, you can check them by running your fingers inside of them and adjust as needed until they’re comfortable.
What’s the most important part of the cup fit? Well, getting the underwire position correct. You should check it on both sides and make sure it sits on the chest where the breast flesh finishes. The sides of the bra shouldn’t be high under your arms or pulling away from the chest. When you have this under control, the cups should be full without any gaps.
As it says in the video, it’s important to check out how the bra feels.
“If it looks good and feels good, it is good.”
