She Was Bullied For The Color Of Her Skin – Today She Is The “Melanin Goddess”

It’s devastating how many people have to face bullying and teasing throughout their childhood and teen years, and more often than not, even their adult years. However, stories like this serve to show every person that has ever felt unworthy just because someone told them so – can also win.

Nineteen-year-old Khoudia Diop, or the “Melanin Goddess” as she calls herself, shook the internet and social media to their core with her success story, and even more with her beauty. In school she was bullied for the color of her skin, and now she’s an inspiration for children and young people around the world, regardless of their race.

She was born in Senegal and moved to France at the age of 15. At 17, she was already working as a model. ‘I was teased a lot growing up, because of my skin tone,’ Khoudia told Mail Online, even though people invented the hashtag #melaningoals when commenting on her social media now. “And now even online sometimes, people will make comments. Growing up, I faced it by confronting the bullies. As I grew, I learned to love myself more every day, and not pay attention to the negative people.”

Today she has 284k followers on Instagram, they love her and she loves the way she looks.

“If you’re lucky enough to be different, don’t ever change,” she says. And we couldn’t agree more.

Perfection comes in every form, shape and color.

She’s pushing boundaries and puts the beauty in beauty standards.

How gorgeous is she?
