Bruce Jenner might have become a woman named Caitlyn back in 2015, but his old legacy is still a subject of discussion in the Kardashian household. The former Olympic gold medalist announced his gender change in April 2015 and told Vanity Fair he would from then on go by Caitlyn in July of the same year. But reality television show Keeping Up With The Kardashians seems unwilling to let go of the topic for a while yet.
Currently, in its thirteenth season, the lastest episode aired on Sunday, the 9th of April. The episode revolved around the relationship between Khloe Kardashian and her former stepdad.
In the clip below, you will see how the 32-year-old TV personality came face to face with her former stepfather to discuss some of the issues they’ve had over the years, but more importantly, the alienation that succeeded Caitlyn’s sex change.
Caitlyn shared with Khloe that she feels hurt that “no one calls” to check in on her anymore, and wonders if her transition might have had something to do with it. Khloe, on the other hand, shares with Caitlyn that it was a “huge blow” for her to lose Bruce who was a big presence in her life for over 23 years.
Bruce Jenner won the decathlon gold medal at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal. He is credited as the athlete who started the tradition of running a victory lap adorned with the flag of one’s country.
The next episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians is set to air on E! on Sunday, the 16th of April.
