After both shocking and delighting the world last month with her shaven head at the Met Gala 2017, Cara Delevingne has supplemented her new haircut with a new (possibly not permanent) tattoo on the back of her head which she premiered at the MTV Movie & TV Awards on the 7th of May which took at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
At the 26th edition of the award ceremony which honors work in cinema and on television, the 24-year-old model painted her head silver, adding a sprinkling of Swarovski crystals for added bling. Delevingne was joined on the Shrine Auditorium red carpet by Dane DeHaan, with whom she co-stars in the sci-fi film Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets which is set to premiere in July.
Los Angeles-based hairstylist Mara Roszak posted an image of the tattoo on the back of Delevingne’s head on her Instagram page, taking credit for the artwork which includes a series of diamond-looking shapes arranged into what looks like a geometric flower. Although probably a temporary tattoo, it comes as another daring step by the model who after premiering her new look at the beginning of May, reaffirmed her hopes that it would inspire people to broaden their ideas about what is beautiful. “Beauty shouldn’t be so easily defined,” she wrote at the time. “It is limitless.”
Delevingne removed her hair for her role in the Mitja Okorn movie Life in a Year, where she plays a girl dying of a terminal disease. Also starring Jaden Smith and Nia Long, it is set to come out in 2018.
