The magical app, called MakeApp, is the opposite of makeup – it digitally detects and removes all traces of makeup, allowing us a peek behind the curtain. Of course, this caused quite the controversy!
Us mere mortals don’t have the access to the best, and logically most expensive makeup artists, designers and PR experts in the world – but celebrities have. And let’s be honest, they often make us feel bad about ourselves by the very fact that they look SO GOOD. One is left scratching their head at the perfect light most stars present themselves in.
The media is also a factor here – the moment they spot a celeb wearing nothing but ordinary jeans and a hoodie, a massive furore happens as everyone speculates what went wrong.
But anyways, technology strikes again. MakeApp is one of the most popular apps recently, and for an interesting reason. The small program digitally scans photos and ‘removes’ all traces of cosmetics from them, and the results seem realistic. Because they’ve already been tested on some of the most flawless celebrity faces.
Here’s a video demonstration of the app:
Thanks to The Daily Mail, we can now see what a bunch of celebrities – and royalty no less – look like without all that expensive makeup! Well, what they ‘kinda’ look like – don’t forget this is just a simulation done by a very clever app. Still, though, it’s fun, and we’re curious. See the results below!
