If you want to burn calories fast, the key is to move your entire body. And what better way to do that than dancing. It is a great activity to pursue at almost any age, and it’s actually quite fun. Did you know that by dancing for only 30 minutes you can lose up to 230 calories? Considering this, it’s no surprise that some of the celebrity contestants on Dancing with the Stars lost a lot of weight during the show.
Here is a list of celebrities who danced away their pounds, courtesy of Diply.
1. Tia Carrere
The 50-year-old actress of Filipino, Chinese and Spanish ancestry had her first break as a regular on the daytime soap opera General Hospital. Fans of Dancing With The Stars will remember that she participated as a contestant in the second season of the show, and eventually placed sixth overall.
Tia joined Dancing With The Starts to lose weight after having a baby.
“The waltz works different muscles from the rumba, which works different muscles from the cha-cha, so you’re getting a whole-body thing,” she said.
