You don’t have to be her greatest fan in order to know that Betty White is the coolest, most badass, and the most amazing actress from the older generation. In fact, did you know Betty Marion White Ludden is actually the actress with the longest TV career of a female entertainer? The coolest actress who appeared in Hot in Cleveland is a Guinness World Record holder because of that. She is everything but an ordinary actress, she is cute and sweet from one side and then from the other side she is cool and badass and you would be surprised by her sense of humor.
The 95-year-old actress has been part of the most famous and iconic sitcoms. She is multi-talented and beyond charming. She will lure you with her cute face but enduring and cool personality. And you can’t resist that.

Betty was one of the first female TV producers
Oak Park-born actress in 1952 has founded Bandy Productions, which made her one of the first female Hollywood producers. She starred in her own sitcom Life with Elizabeth as well as in her own talk show The Betty White Show. Way to go
She was the oldest SNL host
She has won the title of the oldest Saturday Night Live host in 2010 when Betty was 88, because of a Facebook campaign which fans begged for her to host the show.

As we previously mentioned, she’s been in the entertainment industry for a very long time. So, long that it made her a proud Guinness World Record title holder for longest television career as an entertainer for 78 years and counting of course. At the time of the award in 2014, actually, she was 74 years old.
She drove trucks during World War II
During the Second World War, she joined the American Women’s Voluntary Services and has driven PX truck. She explained for Cleveland magazine:
“It was a strange time and out of balance with everything […] which I’m sure the young people are going through now. We’ll never learn. We’ll never learn.”
She’s an honorary forest ranger

Her love for animals has so big that before becoming an actress she wanted to be a forest ranger. She disclosed for Smithsonian:”Right. A couple of years ago, the Forest Service made me an honorary forest ranger. Back when I started, girls couldn’t be forest rangers. But now they made me an honorary one, made it very official, and I was deeply honored. As far as a zookeeper, I have been such a zoo nut all my life that I am practically a zookeeper!”
She’s an animal lover
Among her many occupations, she is an animal rights activist who has been part of Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association for around 40 years..
She told Smithsonian magazine:”It was the Jim Brooks’ movie As Good As It Gets. They had this puppy dog, this adorable puppy, that at one point they dropped down a laundry chute. It landed on a pile of laundry in the story line, and I turned down the role. There are a lot of people in apartments who would think that was a solution. It would either be funny to do that or it would be a solution to a barking neighbor or something like that. It certainly wouldn’t always have a happy ending. So I said as long as that scene was in the film, I wouldn’t do it.”

She has been asked many times if there is anything she would still like to do and the answer always stayed the same “Robert Redford.”Betty confessed: “I don’t ever want to meet him. I would be so embarrassed. I’ve taken his name in vain so many times.”
She’s a big LGBTQ+ advocate
Can she get even cooler? The actress is also a big LGBTQ+ advocate.
She has expressed her opinion on homophobia on Larry King’s show:“I don’t care whom you sleep with. It’s ‘what kind of a human being are you?’ I don’t understand [homophobia], it’s such a personal private business and it’s none of mine.”
She disclosed for the legalization of the gay marriages: “If a couple has been together all that time – and there are gay relationships that are more solid than some heterosexual ones – I think it’s fine if they want to get married. I don’t know how people can get so anti-something. Mind your own business, take care of your affairs, and don’t worry about other people so much.”
