If you want to be the lazy and smart cleaning genius, follow me with these awesome ideas on how to make your life easier. Not only will you have time to read your favorite book, but you will also have time to meet all of your friends next week.
Let’s see how to clean like a boss!
Get reading, then cleaning folks!
1. If you have kids, tough carpet stains are your every-day routine. Just use an iron and damp washcloth and they will be gone!
This is how dirt is gone: the warmth from the iron attaches the dirt to the cloth.
2. Cutting boards
Another one that is a real nightmare to all moms out there! You need to halve a lemon and sprinkle some kosher salt to rub along the board. That will do magic for dislodging the food particles. After, clean the cutting board regularly.
3. Cookie sheets
Do you miss the times when these were shining? Mix 1/4 cup baking soda and add enough hydrogen peroxide to make a paste. Next, rub the paste all over your sheet in small little circles. After 2-3 hours rinse it off and it will look shiny again.
4. Shower head
We might know what this one looks like and it is not good. De-clog it with a small plastic bag around the head. Fill the bag with white vinegar. After 2 hours and a rinse it will be super shiny.
baking soda to the rescue again. All give thanks to soda, it has saved us so many times! After vacuuming, sprinkle baking soda. Vacuum again after 2 hours and you are in for a neat surprise!
6. Cheese grater
Don’t even think about using your good sponge! Take a potato instead. Potato’s oxalic acids will dislodge the gunk and residue.
Does microwave cleaning give you a headache? Fill a bowl with 1 part water and 1 part vinegar and microwave on high for 2 minutes. Then wipe it down and it’s like new. No more headaches!
8. Plastic toys
The easiest way to help yourself and your kid is to throw them into your dishwasher. Use a gentle cycle, because you don’t want to destroy your kid’s toys.
9. Coffee maker
You don’t have to try hard on cleaning your coffee maker again. All you need is vinegar and water in equal parts. Then brew halfway, let it sit for 30 minutes, and finish brewing then. Change the filter in the meantime and you won’t see mold ever again!
Take an old sock and dip it into water and vinegar in equal parts. It is so easy because you also get rid of the old socks!
11. Cast iron pans
Again, just use kosher salt and add some olive oil. Believe it or not, it does work.
Probably the strangest one is coming now. Rub half a bagel over the painting and say goodbye to the dust!
13. Gunk remover
In order to make this one, use a solution of 1 part coconut oil and 1 part baking soda and remove sticky residues easily.
This one is my personal favorite because I am simply tired of cleaning it. After you’re done making smoothies, add some warm water and a few kisses of dish soap and turn your blender on for a few seconds. Miracles do happen!
Here’s another interesting tip: mix 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water and let sit for 30 minutes. Then rinse under the tap.
This is probably the dirtiest of them all in the kitchen! To clean grime and gunk off appliances, mix some water and cream of tartar and get scrubbing.
