Sharok Choksi got tired of trying to find clothes for her daughter and niece that they could be comfortable to play in. So, she decided to start her own clothing line, Girls Will Be. Her company website proudly states, “there is definitely more than one way to be a girl – and it doesn’t always have to involve pink and sparkles.”
And you can clearly say that the little girls love these clothes.
Actually, there is something very disturbing about the way little girl’s clothes are cut smaller, shorter and even tighter than boys. They are all kids, not adults hanging at a bar trying to pick up a date.
Choksi’s inspirations, her daughter and niece wanted some clothes that weren’t frilly, “nothing with bows,” and “no sparkles” in which they can do things like “climbing trees, building LEGO creations, and playing with cars and trucks.”
Sharon, you rock. There are many parents who would be thrilled to spend their cash in order to keep their girls comfortable for as long as possible.
