Paul and Lisa Getz phoned in on FOX’s Arizona Morning Show from their honeymoon in St. Lucia to talk about a wedding crasher who appeared during the father-daughter dance.
It was none other than the 49-year- old country superstar Tim McGraw.
The couple chose McGraw’s ‘My Little Girl’ for the opening dance on their April 2016 wedding in Philadelphia.
And while Lisa and her father Dave were beginning the dance, the crowd suddenly started cheering. Then Dave slowly turned his daughter to face the stage and she was left literally stupefied.
Even the FOX Morning Show anchors admitted to getting goosebumps while the beautifully-shot video was playing.
Literally no-one in the building apart from Dave knew about the surprise and it took everyone a while to process what was happening. Then, the roof was blown off.
What is even more amazing is that the surprises did not end there. After congratulating the newlyweds, Tim McGraw went back to the stage and played a 45-minute set! Can you imagine a 3-time Grammy winner serenading you at your wedding?
All hats have to go off to Dave, or as the Morning Show hosts call him, the “Dad of the Century”. Although the video of the event has gone viral and circled the planet, we are sure that there is no bigger satisfaction for him than the night of wonder he has given his daughter, his son-in-law and their friends and family.
