It’s been 17 years since the Coyote Ugly movie was released, and many are feeling nostalgic about the romantic musical comedy-drama. We saw the movie was set in New York, based on the actual Coyote Ugly Saloon, which is an American chain of drinking bars. If you ever fancied yourself as a bit of a bartender, then you might be lucky. A Coyote Ugly bar dedicated to the film has just been announced to open in Liverpool! Sounds too good to be true? That’s not all!
Here’s the best bit – you can actually audition to be one of the famous bartenders!
So if you are really looking for a career change, or wished you were a part of the Ugly Coyotes when you watched the movie, here is your chance. The brand new bar is looking for around 80 members of staff! There will be auditions for the roles by the founder of the bar, Lilliana Lovell.
The auditions will start on the 25th and 26th of November.
The NYC bar was first set up in the city’s East Village in 1993. However, it reached new levels of fame thanks to the movie released in 2000. As you may well remember, the wild staff would dance and sing on top of the bar and get involved in all of the drinking games too. Sounds like a dream job to you, too?
The franchise will open in December in the former Music Hall building in the Concert Square. Yay! It’s not a long wait after all! You’ll need to be able to prove yourself to be the life and soul of the party and be able to begin training on the 27th of November, if you are up for it.
If you want to apply, go on to the Coyote Ugly website and check out the application. You might as well be dancing on the floor in December!
Here‘s a reminder of the movie cast then and now.
