Demi Lovato is the latest celebrity to make a comprehensive documentary about her life.
The 25-year-old pop star recently released Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated, a documentary about her somewhat… checkered past, and even though she spent most of her life in the spotlight, she revealed a few secrets that the public hadn’t known up until recently.
The Instruction singer shared many interesting details about her life we hadn’t known, one of them being that she would smuggle cocaine onto airplanes, although the one that seems to be getting all the attention is that Demi doesn’t exactly mind dating girls.

This is not her first documentary though

She released her first one, Stay Strong in 2012, focusing on her eating disorder and her life post-rehab for drugs, but she wasn’t fully clean while the documentary was being made.
Because she was regarded as a teen role model during her Disney days, she couldn’t really cope with that and that was one of the main reasons for taking drugs.
“I wasn’t working my program. I wasn’t ready to get sober. I was sneaking [drugs] on planes, sneaking it in bathrooms, sneaking it throughout the night. Nobody knew.” she told the media.

In the new documentary, which launched exclusively on YouTube on her official channel on October 17, 2017, she opens up about her new album Tell Me You Love Me as well as her previous romance with ex-boyfriend actor Wilmer Valderrama.
“I’ve never loved anybody like I’ve loved Wilmer. And like I still love Wilmer. When I met him and I laid eyes on him for the first time, I was in hair and makeup and I was like, ‘I love his man and I have to have him.’ But I was only 17 so he was like, ‘Get away from me.’ After I turned 18, we began dating and I think it was love at first sight. I don’t really believe in that, but I believe that it happened. We connected on a level that I’ve never connected with anybody before. He was just my rock, my everything.” Demi said in the documentary regarding her relationship with the 37-year-old actor.”

Even though she hasn’t been in a serious relationship since splitting from the That 70s Show star, she sparked up bisexuality rumors in her single Cool For The Summer.
Demi later confirmed this interpretation. “My intention with the song was just fun and bi-curiosity. I think people look at the song lyrics – they look too into it,” she said.
She further proved the rumors that she might be dating a girl in the documentary as well:
“I am on a dating app with both guys and girls. I am open to human connection, so whether that’s through a male or a female, that doesn’t matter to me. I love who I love. I feel like it’s irrelevant to what my music is all about. I stand up for the thing that I believe in and the things that I’m passionate about, but I like to keep my personal life as private as possible when it comes to dating and sexuality and all that stuff just because it has nothing to do with my music.”
