A foundation called A Moment Of Magic is on a magical mission. It began with only two college students, and now there are about 40 volunteers who dress up like Disney princesses to put smiles on young cancer patients’ faces.

The organization was founded by College of Mount Saint Vincent students Kylee McGrane and Maggie McAndrew. They have two groups The Fairytale Force for the girls and Mission Super Hero for the boys. In the video below McGrane says how she feels when she goes to the hospitals on these special visits.

“I still get nervous every time I go into a hospital. I’m always afraid I’m never going to be pretty enough or smart enough or thin enough, but, you know, it’s the kids that make me confident because I don’t think I ever go on a visit where a little girl doesn’t like grab my hair or just literally hands on my face and go, ‘You’re beautiful,’ and that’s the most heartwarming thing.”

The cute little patients are always happy during these visits. They have a very positive effect on the children. The volunteers have a great opportunity to make these kids happy. During the visits, volunteers give gifts, like tiaras, to the children. Because every girl should feel like a Disney princess.

This unforgettable experience makes the children forget they’re in a hospital for a while.
