You may remember Jirka Väätäinen as the artist who made those realistic pictures of Disney characters. The internet went crazy over them, they went viral and we love them.
Let’s remind us of the gorgeous illustrations:
Ariel and Eric
Belle and Prince Adam (aka the Beast)
Jasmine and Aladdin
But what if we tell you that he has a series of Disney villains now?
His hyper-realistic renderings are painted by hand in Photoshop, and he uses real life ‘muses’ to inspire the details.
“I usually have a certain vision in my head of the character, and I start by thinking of and looking for people or real-life pictures that somehow remind me of the character I am working on” Jirka Väätäinen says.
“I combine, manipulate and blend together elements, textures and features from dozens and dozens of real-life photos to come up with this vision of mine.”
And now, since we’ve reminded you of the coolness of Disney villains, here’s how this great artist illustrated them and try not to faint.
