Every year on February 14th, a lot of people exchange cards, candy, gifts or flowers with their special “valentine”. We call this day of romance Valentine’s Day named after a Christian martyr who dates back to the 5th century.
Its origin comes from the Roman holiday Lupercalia and it is celebrated all around the world even though it is not a public holiday in any country.
Are you ready to celebrate Valentine’s Day?
When you are choosing gifts for your partner they should remain symbolic, meaningful or something self-made would be even better. YouTube channel Troom Troom, is very popular for it’s DIY projects. They are easy to accomplish and all you need are some basic skills.
If you are struggling to find the perfect Valentine’s gift, today we are sharing something very special that might help you out. It’s called Teddy Bear with a heart and it’s completely self-made.
What you need:
- Patterns printed on A4 sheet
- White, pink and red felt
- Black faux suede
- Glue gun
- Black and white thick treads, a needle
- Two small dark seed beads
- Toy filling: hollow or polyester fiber
- Light lace
- Red corded silk ribbon
How to do it:
You start cutting the head patterns on the white felt. Pin it and cut it out. Do the same with the heart from the red felt and the muzzle from the pink felt. From the black faux suede cut the nose and paws of the teddy bear. To put the pieces together you will need glue and basically, what you’ll have to do next is sew the materials. Believe me, in the end you will be very proud of yourself.
