We love animals here at MetDaan, especially cats and dogs. There’s no better feeling than giving your dog or cat a cuddle, but the reality is: we shouldn’t see them as just cuddling devices, as they can do a whole lot more than that.
Want proof? Meet Storm, a doggie who saw a baby deer drowning and immediately dove in to save the helpless animal.
At first, it was unclear what the drowning animal was, but as Storm came closer, it turned out to be an injured baby deer.
It all started with Storm’s owner, Mike Freeley, was taking a walk, and when Storm noticed the deer drowning and jumped into action, Mike began recording the whole event.
Even on the shore, the pooch stayed by the deer’s side and licked her to keep the poor thing safe and warm. The dog and his owner were there until the representatives from Strong Island Animal Rescue arrived.

The deer was eventually picked up by Strong Island Animal Rescue, and is expected to make a full recovery.
