Dog Groomer Saves Stray Dog’s Life And Transforms Him

It’s impossible to estimate the number of stray animals in the world, but there are more and more shelter homes that take them in. According to ASPCA, approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year. Of those, approximately 3.3 million are dogs and 3.2 million are cats.

Raising awareness is crucial so that all the kind people who find stray animals know who to contact when an animal needs help. One such kind family was driving late one night near Oviedo, Florida, when they noticed an abandoned dog on the street. The dog was in bad condition, his fur was matted, and he was barely responding. The family was not able to keep him overnight, but they posted about the situation on Facebook and luckily a dog groomer responded to the plea. Kari Falla opened her salon at midnight just to help this cute pupper in need. Credit to Bored Panda.

“When a dog is matted that badly, it can cause its blood flow to stop as well as cause bruising to the dog,” Falla told Inside Edition.

As soon as she saw the post, Falla rushed to open her salon BGE Grooming in the middle of the night and took the dog in.

“I knew it was bad, but nothing prepared me for what I saw. It smelled like death and the dog could not walk.”

Working tirelessly until 3 in the morning, Falla managed to fully shave and bathe him, and then took him to the vet as soon as she could.

The before and after pictures are amazing.

After his bath, he was seemingly happier.

The cute dog, who is unrecognizable after the transformation, was named Lucky.

“Once we shaved him, he was wagging his tail and was so happy. I knew I did the right thing,” Falla comments.

After Falla took him to the vet, they gave her some bad news.

Lucky was deaf and blind, but is now recovering successfully in a foster home. All thanks to the caring family and the lady from the grooming salon who took him in.

The Internet is now giving this amazing lady a standing ovation for her selfless actions. And we love it, too!
