Many people claim their dogs will never let them down, and they are probably right. Dogs can start a bond with you even from a small age, which is the case of this toddler, who got some help from his furry friend.
Rob Herbert and Carrie Harden are like many parents who live with their kid and their pet dog, too. But their dog is special. He wants to please all of this toddler’s wishes, and they have captured it on camera. The video has since gone viral with over 99 million people watching it on Facebook.
“When you need help…you find out who your friends are! (Until you don’t give them any food and then they leave you hanging!)” This was the caption of Rob Herbert’s Facebook post on June 14, alongside the hilarious video of his kid raiding the fridge, helped by his dog.
Harden explained to friends that this was no spur-of-the-moment robbery, it was planned.
“I call them my twins for a reason,” the mother Carden wrote in a comment. “They’re usually up to no good together. What I wasn’t fast enough to catch on video was Maverick pulling Leroy by the collar over to the fridge to get him in place. He obviously had a plan.”
Lasting only around 40 seconds, the video melted the hearts of so many people around the world.
Sarah Burk commented: “I’ve watched this over and over. Love it.”
“Bahahaha omg,” one user wrote. “I love this! He is sooooo awesome.”
While another added: “Totally awesome. That is teamwork. Leroy was so patient.”
Some were pretty angry, though, thinking that this is a form of animal abuse. Christy Hills angrily adds: “Animal abuse. He can hurt the dog’s spine that way!!”
What would you do in a situation like this? Except of course film the sheer brilliance of it?
