For women who have the desire to swap their everyday lives and feel like pin-up girls Rita Heyworth or Ava Gardner, at least in a few photos, can now do exactly that with the help of a boudoir photographer from Birmingham, England.
Chrissy Sparks’s studio DollHouse Photography offers “flawless hair and makeup by top stylists, all your stunning outfits supplied by us, full guidance on how to pose, world class retouching and a friendly, all-girl team”.
The 34-year-old artist has photographed over 1,300 women since starting DollHouse photography four years ago; she launched her Vamp Boudoir project in January 2016.
“I was inspired to create DollHouse because I wanted everyday women to have access to a full photo shoot experience and magazine cover style images. I believe that with the right posing, lighting and styling, I can bring out the best in a woman’s beauty,” Chrissy says.
“After the shoot, I work on the photographs in post-production. I remove cellulite, muffin tops, scars, bruises, spots and uneven skin tone. I also reduce lines and wrinkles, smooth the silhouette and enhance muscle tone.”
“Almost all the women that come to us are very nervous at first, but my team and I work hard to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for them. Many women want a set of beautiful photographs in fabulous surroundings and garments as a keepsake for their own satisfaction and as a confidence booster,” the boudoir photographer explained.
“Some have a photo shoot as a gift from their partner for an anniversary, pre-wedding, Christmas or birthday gift. Many of my older clients want a set done before they think they are too old, but my oldest lady so far was 72. I believe you’re never too old to feel beautiful.”
DollHouse has an impressive wardrobe, with up to $130,000 worth of furniture, lingerie sets, corsets, basques, gowns, dresses, pin-up outfits, shoes, hats, accessories, jewelry, costumes, stockings, and swimwear.
After selecting the outfits, every model receives a two-hour makeover by hair and makeup artist Zaneta Swiatlowska. The photo shoots themselves can sometimes last up to 12 hours, as the Birmingham-based studio leaves nothing to be desired with their approach.
