All of us want to live a healthy life and have a stronger body, but the thing is we’re too lazy to exercise. But as lazy as we are, it’s good to do at least some exercises to keep our bodies healthy and our waist lines in check.
When you haven’t been spending your life as a gym expert, it’s hard to find what’s best for you. That’s why down below you’re going to see 8 simple exercise that you can do easily and benefit a lot from. Thanks for sharing AuntyAcid.
Yoga is so relaxing and the stretching you’ll do at the average yoga class is really simple. You’ll be encouraged to get into a relaxed and meditative state that will help you clear any stress that you’re feeling.
2. Low impact cardio
Cardiovascular health is very important for women over forty so the low impact cardio is the perfect way to strengthen that. If you’re not a fan of running then go for the elliptical machine at your gym. Just remember, one foot on each pedal.
3. Leg lifts
This exercise focuses more on form and building strength in your legs. Leg lifters are also good for targeting groups of muscles that are often missed by other exercises. Do this everyday with a couple of sets and you will definitely see improvements.
4. Tai chi
The Chinese martial art is practiced for defense and relaxation purposes. This is the perfect exercise for women over forty for the deep breathing and flowing movements. Since this exercising technique also makes you focus on how your body moves and feels, take a class and you’ll not regret it.
5. Strength training
You don’t need an intense work out for this one. Get some simple bicep curls with 2 pound barbells to gain strength in your arms. If you don’t want to spend money you can also improvise with cans of food, gallons of milk or hard back books.
Planks are very challenging and there’s a reason why. They target your core muscles, legs, arms and will help you gain stamina and strength in all areas of your body. Make sure to get into the right position and you’ll feel your abs burning in no time.
Even though squats seem intimidating, they can really help you a lot. They build strength in your legs, tone your thighs and butt and can be done by someone with any skill levels. You’ll see improvements for sure.
Lunges will help you tone your legs and gain strength. Keep your body straight, your shoulders and neck relaxed and your chin up as you do your lunges. You can choose different variations of lunges to target different parts of your body but most importantly concentrate to keep proper form.
Choosing any of these exercises as a hobby will definitely yield results.
