Unless you don’t possess an electronic device that has iOS, Android, Windows or Mac or whatever else on it, and unless you don’t have access to the internet (which, if you’re reading this, you probably do), you will know what Facebook is.
Facebook, for lack of a better way of putting it, is the biggest social media site in the world. Don’t believe me? It has more monthly users than WhatsApp, Twitter and Instagram. Combined. Over 1.86 billion monthly active users, people.
Did you know that 50% of people aged 18-24 go on Facebook when they wake up?
And did you know that every minute, 510,000 comments are posted, 293,000 statuses are updated, and 136,000 photos are uploaded to Facebook? Impressive, right?
Those OG Facebook users who are reading this may remember that the site has always had a “Like” button, which you can click if you… like the photo or status posted.
In February of 2016, Facebook introduced reactions, which completely redesigned the “Like” button and allowed you to show how you actually felt about the status or photo.
Instead of just “liking” the photo, you could put a “Love” on it, and alongside them were (and still are) “Wow”, “Haha”, “Sad”, and “Angry”. Angry has spawned quite a few memes on the site that created it in the first place, and in 2017 that’s how you know that something you’ve made is successful. It just is.
Anyway, if you use Facebook religiously, or if you know someone that does, Sharon from Creative Cakes by Sharon is here to show you how to make a Facebook reactions cake!
You really need to have a mind of madness to come up with this, but I don’t mean that in a bad way. This is a really cool idea.
The top of the cake has 6 pieces of fondant (one red and the others yellow) and each one is decorated to look like one of the Facebook reactions that appear when you either hover your mouse over the Like button or long-press on the button and swipe up (if you’re on a mobile device)
If you have a friend that really, really loves Facebook, this is definitely a good place to start when it comes to their birthday cake.
