HBO Revealed: Game Of Thrones Season 7 Episodes Will Be Longer Than Usual

Game Of Thrones fans, brace yourselves! Great news is coming! Out of all the devastating news that you had to endure this year, such as the one that GOT will end soon no matter what you do, you can finally wait for the new season in peace. There’s a LONG season ahead! The American fantasy drama TV series and the adaptation of A Song Of Ice And Fire book, by George R. R. Martin, was first released April 17, 2011. It has ever since created dramatic TV sessions for many fans out there, trying to cope with the end of each season. People became so obsessed with it because of the numerous overturns in every single episode. Can we now wait for Season 7 in peace? Yes, and it’ll probably be the best one.

Season 7 is set to be aired on HBO on July 16, 2017, and, yes, we can’t wait! But what can we expect from it? Except for a few more deaths, we can proudly say that it will be much longer than we thought.

Last summer, GOT fans had a mini heart attack when they found out that HBO will only be airing 7 instead of ten episodes. As if this was not bad enough, Entertainment Weekly also reported that “the remaining episodes are not, for the most part, longer.” Fans were left devastated.

However, luckily for those who can’t get enough of the show, Entertainment Weekly probably misinformed us.

1 has now revealed a full breakdown of Game of Thrones runtimes for season seven and it includes some record-breaking episodes.

Here the runtimes on HBO, via Watchers on the Wall:

Episode 1: 59 minutes.
Episode 2: 59 minutes.
Episode 3: 63 minutes.
Episode 4: 50 minutes.
Episode 5: 59 minutes.
Episode 6: 71 minutes.
Episode 7: 81 minutes.

As you can see, season seven’s finale will be lenghtier than any other single episode! Wow, I can’t imagine 81 minutes of excitement. The penultimate episode is also a record-breaker for the show, with impressive 71 minutes.

Season six finale ‘The Winds of Winter’, lasted ‘only’ 68 minutes. But this year, we get to see 13 minutes more of out favorite TV show.

And we are only a month away from the big day! Here you can have your hundredth (or first!) glimpse of the season 7 trailer. Enjoy!
