Until recently, the Guinness record for the largest high heeled shoe measured 1.95 m (6 ft 5 in) long and 1.85 m (6 ft 1 in) tall and was created by Jill Martin and Kenneth Cole (both USA) in New York, New York, USA, on 10 November 2014.
Today, this gorgeous category may be up for a new addition, made by devoted shoe-maker, 27-year-old Filip Kostovski from Skopje, Macedonia. He enjoyed his job so much, he decided to try and break the record.
Obviously, he is on his way to succeed.
This gorgeous pink, #goals high-heeled shoe can break the old record. Its Measurements are 3,15 metres (10.33 ft), with a heel of 2,5 metres (82.02 ft). Don’t you just love it? Like, to put in your living room, or something?
He worked for 4 months, and cost him €500 ($530), but he says he doesn’t regret it, as it was a very important and satisfying project for him.
“The only thing that was a problem for me was to find the material the shoe was supposed to be made of. I couldn’t find a piece large enough. I searched for days until I found the perfect one and bought the last 11 metres (36 ft) that were just about enough.”
He worked weekends and nights to finish it, because during the day, he works in a shoe factory.
“I worked in my backyard from 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM and I also built a marquee to protect it.”
He’s now looking at the procedure to apply and add his work to the Guinness World Records. He did it online, because his home country, Macedonia does not have a Guinness World Records commission.
We absolutely love when people devote their time to create beautiful stuff. We wish Filip good luck and wait to see what he does next.
The world’s largest thigh-length boot perhaps?
