Probably when you hear the words “pin-up girl” the first thing that pops into your head is Marilyn Monroe. She was an icon and what mostly defined the “pin-up” style was her curvy figure. And sometimes it seems like people forget about other girls that are worth remembering. For example, Hilda.
She was created by the illustrator named Duane Bryers (1991-2012) and was a plus-size redhead model. Hilda was not shy about her plump body, she embraced herself and made people watch her since she was also hilariously clumsy sometimes. She was a unique girl who graced America’s calendars from the 1950s to the 1980s. To celebrate her, Bored Panda shared some silly illustrations. Make sure to vote for your favorite one and enjoy!
