The body of the 19-year-old Celine Dookhran has been discovered stuffed in a fridge after a suspected honor killing. She came from an Indian Muslim background and has been kidnapped by masked men alongside another woman last Wednesday.
Both women were gagged, bound and subjected to rape at a house in Kingston-on-Thames in south-west London. The other woman was in her 20s and survived the attack, as she was getting better after she had been taken care of in a hospital.
On the other hand, Celine lost her life after having her throat slit by the kidnappers.
Celine Dookhran – there’s no honour in the way you were murdered. I’m so sorry for you and your friend. Rest in Peace

Celine recently had started a relationship with an Arab Muslim man, according to The Times and her death is being treated as an “honor killing.” The 33-year-old Mujahid Arshid appeared in the Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court and was charged with offences of murder, kidnapping, attempted murder and rape.
28-year-old Vincent Tappu also appeared, being charged with the kidnapping of both women. Both of these men will appear before the Old Bailey, on August 21st, 2017.
Rest in peace #celinedookhran. Honor killing is a cultural issue NOT a religious one. God it angers me that something humans can be so vile

In her Twitter account, she appears as a hardworking and religious young woman who cared a lot about her brothers. She also liked chatting with her friends and cousins about different stuff like clothes and makeup.
But her latest Tweet is heartbreaking in its optimism:
“Alhamdulilah [praise God] for everything that’s all I can say.”
