I love eating cake. People who do pastry and desserts for a living are to be admired. I like to admire them from afar.
Especially those who are so invested in their craft that they level it up a few more notches. Us mere mortals at the bottom levels won’t be able to pass with a simple muffin mixer for Valentine’s Day.
I am lucky that my boyfriend still can’t make the difference from a muffin mix made cookie and a chef made one. Maybe that’s why we are still dating after 4 years of bad food.
Luckily, I’ve stumbled upon this YouTube, one-minute gem of a video that will teach us how to ice a cake the easiest imaginable way ever!
What will you need?
Can of frosting – the flavor is up to you
How do we get this thing done?
Place the cake on a rack. I didn’t tell you this, but you are going to need a cake. Buy it or ask your mom to make it. If you want to try and make it for yourself, go through some of our countless cake videos and find a suitable recipe.
Next, grab a can of icing. You will find that in the closest store to you. Place the icing in the microwave and heat 30 seconds at a time. When you’re done, you can add color pigmentation by your choice. Now, this particular step is absolutely optional.
Last, pour the icing on the cake.
In fact, the more the better! Start at the center and stay there, the laws of physics will spread the icing around the cake.
Now I see that the people over at PureWow channel edited Vivaldi’s Spring section from his Four Seasons concerto into the video.
That’s exactly how pouring that icing that you didn’t even make yourself feels like!
If you have another unfortunate friend who think of themselves as Juliette Binoch in Chocolat with no effort whatsover, please make sure to share the video with them!
