Nowadays, the Internet has become a place where almost everyone has found a way to express themselves. But only special ones have the talent to make us laugh, cry or appreciate the world we live and embrace the small things in life. Because, after all, it is actually in those small things that sometimes we take for granted that happiness can be found. One French-American artist who has worked in the animation industry for a decade-and-a-half is among those people who have the power to make us embrace the tiny moments in our lives that make us happy. This Los Angeles-based illustrator’s name is Pascal Campion.
Pascal has worked for DreamWorks Animation, Paramount Pictures, Disney Feature, Disney Toons, Cartoon Network amongst other clients. He currently works as Art director for the upcoming Netflix/Warner Bros animated series Green Eggs and Ham.
In addition, the inspirational artist has shared over 3000 photos of his personal project called Sketches of the Day since 2005: a series of creative, heartwarming and impressive illustrations about everyday life.
The work is inspired by Pascal’s family: his wife, 9-year-old daughter, and his 6-year-old twin boys. The Sketches of the Day emphasize the significance of the small things: from watching the autumn leaves fall to simply reading a book with a warm cup of coffee.
“The little moments are just as important as the big ones,” says Campion, who describes his style as “spontaneous and messy in execution but clear in communication.”
