It was in the distant 2004 that we first saw the adorable heroes of the Disney movie The Incredibles, directed by Brad Bird. The family of superheroes who were forced to hide their powers and fight Syndrome, the bad guy, are now back for the second part of the animated movie. It’s been a long 13 years wait since the movie came out, but the trailer for the upcoming return has blown people’s ins, with the video becoming the most viewed animated trailer ever!
Keep scrolling and check out why that is!
The trailer for the highly anticipated Disney-Pixar release premiered on Saturday’s College GameDay, November the 25th. The video has been seen more than 113 million times so far, making it the biggest trailer debut ever for an animated film.
The new film took over a decade to be released, but that does not make it less exciting for its fans. Interestingly, the movie will pick up immediately from where the first one ended. The family, including Bob, Helen, Violet Dash and Jack-Jack Parr, aka the Incredibles, come to face a brand new villain.
The family will also have to face the realization that baby Jack-Jack has special and potent superpowers.
According to the film’s official plot synopsis, it’s going to be “a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone must find a way to work together again – which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.”
For those who are not great fans of trailers, there’s not too much harm in this one, as it doesn’t give too much away. It does show Bob, though, who is voiced by Craig T. Nelson and comes to realize that baby Jack-Jack possesses special powers. This might be very dangerous for a baby as he does not know how to control them.
The sequel will once again be directed by Brad Bird. It was first announced in March 2014 and initially scheduled for 2019. Luckily for the fans, it will be released on June 15, 2018.
