Jackie Chan’s Reaction To His Daughter Coming Out As Lesbian


Etta Ng, the daughter of actor and skilled martial artist Jackie Chan and former Hong Kong beauty queen Elaine Ng. She was born in 1999 and raised in Shanghai. Just recently, the 17-year-old girl came out to the world as lesbian.


Etta Ng shared a photo on Instagram telling the world she is gay, bravely posing in front of a rainbow colored background. But, it wasn’t always that easy for her. The 63-year-old Hollywood star’s daughter revealed that she had struggled with her sexuality for a long time, to the point where she even attempted suicide on more than one occasion.


The 17-year-old said: “I encountered many events that could have broken me, but in actuality, you strengthened me.”

Now, after accepting her sexualit,  Etta confirmed that she is dating the 30-year-old social media influencer, Andi Autumn. The 17-year-old shared a photo on Instagram that was followed with the hashtags: ‘#lgbtqai#lgbt #lesbian #androgynous

She wrote:“You are my everything and more. I love you, my princess. Let’s celebrate our nine-months of happiness together.”


When it comes to her father, however, the actor uttered only 6 words: “If she likes it, that’s fine.”

Etta was born following an extra-marital affair, and her father Jackie has never been very involved in her life. She said: “He is not my dad. I have no feelings for him. He is my biological father but he is not in my life. He never existed in my life. I will never regard him as a father. I would say, ‘Oh, Jackie Chan, an actor,'” Etta added. Aside from his daughter, Jackie Chan also has a son, the actor Jaycee Chan, with his wife and former actress Lin Feng-jiao.


Fans comments were surprisingly supportive and a lot of people expressed their love for Etta and her girlfriend.
They wrote comments such as : “Happiness is all that matters!” and “Support the ability and freedom to love.”

Despite China’s attempt to ban LGBTQ themes in film and broadcast media, the millennials in the country are getting only more and more supportive towards LGBT rights.

On Instagram, Andi shared a photo of herself next to Etta, with the caption: “I’ve never met anyone like @stolenmilkte”

“She has given me a chance to fully express the running thoughts in my head. No judgements, just understanding. Everything was against us.” she added.


“We’ve been pushed down again and again but its worth it knowing we will get through it together, side by side. skip past all of the difficulties we’ve had this year, we are finally heading in the right direction, we have a path.” she also said.
