The Met Gala every year gives rich celebrities a chance to outshine one another with outfits with varying degrees of success and surrealism. This year with Vogue organizing the event, the guests had to wear an avant-garde to go with the theme, which was honoring designer Rei Kawakubo.
We couldn’t help but notice Jaden Smith who always goes experimental and surprises us. We love this side of him which shows how brave he is and how amazing his taste for fashion is.
The 18-year old went over the top by wearing heels and also carrying his old dreadlocks on the red carpet.
He explained his fashion to Vogue red carpet by saying: “And since I couldn’t bring my sister as a date, I brought my old hair,” because apparently the two are interchangeable.

Yup, he took an amazing pair of black heeled ankle boots to the red carpet which looked pretty well with his outfit. The rest of the outfit included a Louis Vuitton suit and his dreadlocks as accessory.
Since his sister wasn’t there to join him, maybe Jaden thought to whip his hair back and forth for her.
Jaden had to chop his dreads for an upcoming film role which leads to the question: Did he really keep them all this time just for The Met Gala? Who held the dreads over the dinner? Is this even hygienic?
I am sure that whatever it is, Jaden is rocking it with his noticeable style.
