She was made to take part in the naked line up and was told that the experience could be used as an inspiration to lose weight. She said: “During this time a female producer had me do a nude line-up with about five women who were much, much, thinner than me.
“We are stood side-by-side with only tape covering our privates. After that degrading and humiliating line-up, the female producer told me I should use the naked photos of myself as inspiration for my diet.”
Jennifer also added that she decided to speak about it, and told the male producer that she didn’t think it was fair she was asked to lose so much weight so quickly.” He responded by saying ” he didn’t know why everyone thought [she] was so fat’, and that he thought she was ‘perfectly f***ble’.
Then, she was also asked by the director to star in a pornographic movie.
The actress spoke up in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal which has rocked Hollywood. A lot of high profile actresses, models and employees have come forward to claim that they were sexually assaulted or harassed by the movie producer.
He stands accused of four rapes and over 30 women have claims of sexual harassment.
Sixty-five-year old Weinstein founded Miramax and later Weinstein Co. He has since been terminated from the Weinstein Co, that he started alongside his brother. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences that run the Oscars, expelled Weinstein after the shocking allegations.
If she wanted her career to progress, Lawrence added that she had to put up with that behavior.
She said: “I’m still learning that I don’t have to smile when a man makes me uncomfortable.”
