Celebrities have a huge impact in our life, whether it’s about makeup, outfits, hairstyles, you name it. And whether we’d like to admit it or not.
They often launch makeup lines, clothing lines and social media can be very profitable for them. Companies are also having huge success these days after famous celebrities wear their clothes, post them on Instagram, and the next minute they’re sold out.
And in these ‘viral’ times, if you look like a celebrity, you’ll most certainly get at least half the attention that that same celebrity gets. Which is a lot.
The famous actress who shot movies like Silver Linings Playbook, The Hunger Games saga and many more recently received something of a backlash over unfounded claims that she might have played a part in Chris Pratt and Anna Farris’ marriage.
Would you say that having someone who looks exactly like her is another thing to be worried about?
Because, there’s this one teenager who looks exactly like her. She gets stopped for autographs all the time with people believing that she is J-Law herself.
And it’s not hard to see why.
According to VT the 17-year-old Florida teenager, Alexia Maier said:
“At first I thought it was a joke when people started saying I looked like Jennifer Lawrence.
“But when I started getting dozens of comments about my J-Law similarities, I started to realize it myself.
“In my hometown, people know they’re not going to see a real celebrity.
“So I’ve been told I look like her, but never confused. But when visiting New York, people will ask me for autographs.”
“I think one of my favourite examples is when a woman said ‘Jennifer, I’m your biggest fan!’.
“I told her, ‘I’m not Jennifer!’ but the woman immediately said, ‘Are you sure?’ I’ll never forget her reaction. At first it was surprise, then awe, then disappointment.”
In a stunning twist, though, Maier apparently isn’t a fan of Jennifer Lawrence herself, admitting;
“I know this is not the answer people are expecting from me. But I am not a fan.”
“Even so, I can acknowledge that Jennifer has definitely impacted my life in strange ways. I got a lot of attention in the first couple years of high school because of my similarities to her.”
What do you guys think? Does she look like Jennifer?
