Even though millions watched the royal wedding in 2011, the Duchess of Cambridge’s lace, long sleeved gown stole the show, but the second dress she wore after the ceremony is just too much to handle. Kate Middleton for sure has some sense in fashion!
Her stunning lace v-neck Alexander McQueen wedding dress was one of the main points.
But after the ceremony the bride ditched her elaborate gown and changed into a romantic satin wonder. The second dress was designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen which featured a simple and unique design.
The dress drew attention thanks to its flattering sweetheart neckline and gorgeous train and was worn for an evening celebration at Buckingham Palace. For the evening she let her hair down and the special part was that the look continued with the addition of a furry stole.
The satin dress had an eye-catching diamond belt.
Happily ever after.
The occasion was watched live by 36 million people all around the world. The wedding took place on April 29, 2011 and was declared a public holiday in the UK. They were both students at St Andrews and coupled together in 2003. Seven years later the engagement came in October 2010. Kate’s locks have always been the envy of the nation.
Prince George started school for the first time in Battersea this September. Wow, it’s amazing how years pass by!
