32-year-old singer and songwriter Katy Perry is currently on her world tour named Witness: The Tour, in support of her fifth album, Witness (2017). The tour began on September 19, but it seems like it reached its peak on Wednesday, October 18, when Katy was left floating on air during her performance in Nashville, Tennessee. Getting stuck, however, was not an issue for her as she quickly adapted to the situation in a hilarious way, making jokes.
The international pop star was stuck during a mid-air performance last week and had to wait for some time while floating. This happened during her amazing show where she sits atop a foam planet Saturn, at the same time performing for her fans. During her performance, she is moved around the arena so that everyone can see her.
Everything seemed okay until the planet Saturn stopped moving and left the future American Idol judge in mid-air, above her fans.
You would probably think that she would demand a cancellation of the show immediately, but if you’ve been to her concerts, you would know that’s not who she is. As a matter of fact, Perry proved once again to be a dedicated show-woman and a real professional. She started joking about the situation immediately.
The Grammy-nominated singer told the crowd:
“This is the first time I’ve been stuck in space. I know I’m kind of a space cadet, but actually, this thing is stuck. What should I do? Should I tell some jokes, should I tell some stories, should I just sing another song? You’d better put your phones up, it’s a YouTube moment!”
And that’s how time passed quickly before stage handlers lowered the foam planet. Then, the singer hopped off into the safe hands of her fans and it all went back to normal. Before she actually hopped off, Katy admitted to her fans:
“I guess I’m just going to have to get down and walk amongst my people.”
Her fans enjoyed this moment and all her show that went on after the incident.
The Twitter people had a lot of positive thoughts on this embarrassing moment.

And, of course, there are always those who will have the crazy conspiracy theories. Some were mentioning Taylor Swift and that she was to blame for the malfunction of the stage. Katy And Taylor haven’t been on good terms according to the media in the last couple of years. Here‘s more about their feud.
