Music has transforming power and soothes the soul. Whenever you feel sad or lonely, try putting on your favorite music and dance – this tested method seems to work every time, right? So many musicians passed away, but they still live through their music today. They left their legacy through their songs as well as their children who remind us of these powerful voices that remained in our hearts forever. These children continued their parents’ deeds. 1. Michael Jackson’s children


The King of Pop tragically passed away at the age of 50 on June 25, 2009. He died of a cardiac arrest. His case was ruled a homicide by his doctor, Conrad Murray.

Paris Michael Katherine Jackson


Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, who was born on April 3, 1998, is the only daughter of the King of pop and Debbie Rowe. She tried to keep out of the spotlight, but she is more present in the media nowadays. In June 2012, Paris appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s show, Next Chapter, where she discussed her father’s legacy. In 2013, she made headlines again when she supposedly tried to kill herself. Since 2015, she has pursued modeling and acting.

Prince Michael Jackson


Prince Michael Jackson was born on February 13, 1997. He is the eldest child and went for an acting career. He also helped produce a 2013 documentary titled, Remembering Michael.

Prince Michael “Blanket” Jackson II


Prince Michael “Blanket” Jackson II was born on February 21, 2002 and he is the youngest child. His mother is not known to the public. He appeared in the documentary Living With Michael Jackson, in 2003. The controversy around him was when his father infamously dangled him off the side of a hotel balcony. Later in 2013, Blanket also appeared in Remembering Michael.

2. Whitney Houston’s child

Singer Whitney Houston tragically drowned on February 11, 2012 when she was only 48. Although it was accidental, she had heart disease and suffered form cocaine addiction as well.

Bobbi Kristina Houston Brown


Bobbi Kristina Houston Brown was born on March 4, 1993 and she was the only child of Whitney Houston and Bobbi Brown. She tried to start a career in singing, just like her mother. On January 31, 2015, a tragedy happened. Bobbi was rushed to the hospital after she was found face down in a bathtub in her Georgia home. She was put in a medically induced coma and died six months later.

3. Kurt Cobain’s child

The star sadly killed himself with a gun on April 5, 1994. He was only 27 years at the time.

Frances Bean Cobain


Born on August 18, 1992, she is the only daughter of Kurt Cobain and Hole frontwoman Courtney Love. She has been working as a visual artist ever since 2010. She became engaged to musician Isaiah Silva in 2010.

4. Nate Dogg’s child


The rapper passed in 2011 at the age of 41 because of multiple strokes.

Naijiel Hale


In 2014, Naijiel  signed with the University of Washington and has since had a successful freshman year in his position as defensive back.

5. Frank Zappa’s children

The guitar player died after a long battle with prostate cancer on December 4, 1993, when he was 52.

Moon Unit Zappa

Born on September 28, 1967, Moon Unit Zappa has pursued a career in acting and writing. She appeared in a couple of tv shows, such as Curb Your Enthusiasm, How I Met Your Mother, and Roseanne.

Moon is the author of the 2001 novel America the Beautiful.

Dweezil Zappa

Dweezil Zappa was born on September 5, 1969, and went on to follow his dad’s footsteps. He became a rock guitarist and an actor. You can see him in movies such as The Running Man and Pretty in Pink. Since the 1990s, Dweezil has been working on a 75-minute guitar piece titled, What the Hell Was I Thinking?

Ahmet Zappa


Ahmet Zappa was born on May 15, 1974, and is a famous producer, writer, and publisher. His debit novel was released in 2006, titled  The Monstrous Memoirs of a Mighty McFearless. He also started his own production company called Monsterfoot Productions.

Diva Zappa


Diva Zappa was born on July 30, 1979 and is also an artist. She has appeared in many tv shows and movies, such as Anarchy TV, Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror, and National Lampoon’s Pledge This!, shows Felicity, Brothers and Sisters, and The Mighty Boosh. Diva also runs a clothing line business.

6. The Notorious B.I.G.’s children


The rapper was shot and killed by an unknown person in the shooting of Los Angeles in 1997. He was 24 at the time.

Christopher Wallace Jr


Christopher Wallace Jr., who was born on October 28, 1996, graduated from Santa Margarita High School in June 2014.

T’yanna Wallace


T’yanna Wallace, born on August 8, 1993, launched a clothing line called Notoriouss, inspired by her father.

7. Bradley Nowell’s child


The co-founder and band leader of the seminal ’90s band Sublime passed away on 25 May in 1996 due to a heroin overdose.

Jakob James Nowell


His son Jakob James Nowell was born in June of 1995. He followed his dad’s footsteps and is now the lead singer of his own rock band, called LAW.

8. Bob Marley’s child

Ziggy Marley


Ziggy Marley, born on October 17, 1968, is also a reggae artist. He is the band leader and lead singer of Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers. Ziggy has won many Grammy Awards.
