Kim Kardashian West recently confirmed the pregnancy rumors that have been swirling for a while, revealing she and Kanye are expecting their third child via surrogate. The 36-year-old reality star and the 40-year-old rapper already have two children, North (4), and Saint (1).

After she was warned against being pregnant again due to the complications during her previous two deliveries, Kim confirmed that her family is about to expand again with the help of a surrogate mother.

In the opening episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians‘ 14th season which aired on October the 1st, she made a confession on the phone to her younger sister Khloe.

“What happens every time I say, ‘Guess what?’,” Kim asks.

To which 33-year-old Khloe responds: “Someone’s pregnant?”

Kim then excitedly exclaims: “We’re having a baby!”

Since the episode aired, strong rumors have emerged that Khloe is also expecting a baby with her boyfriend, basketball star Tristan Thompson of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The confirmation came just weeks after the second-oldest sister insisted that she and Kanye “never confirmed anything” about the speculations of a baby via surrogate.

Kim recently claimed: “I’ve definitely seen a lot of things, we’ve never confirmed anything. So, I think when we’re ready to talk about it we will, and I think it’s super invasive when people are just… So many details out there, and like I’ve never heard this, I’ve never heard this. Like whatever. We have not confirmed it, and that’s that. I’ll let you know when we’re ready.”

It has now been reported that the pair expect to be proud parents to a baby girl in January 2018

The surrogate mother who has been described as a woman in excellent shape is said to be paid $45,000 in 10 equal installments. The deal also includes an extra $5,000 per child in case of a multiple pregnancy and $4,000 if the carrier lost reproductive organs in the process.
