A heated debate is raging. Is it about climate change? Is it geopolitics? No, it’s Kim Kardashian’s cellulite. The public is divided whether last weekend’s snaps from a Mexico beach are a blunder by the usually well-oiled Kardashian-Jenner PR machinery, or is perhaps Kim realizing that the heavy editing that goes into her photos are not taken seriously anymore.
A series of shots taken during a beach outing with her girlfriends shows Kim’s backside ridden with cellulite like the public has never seen her before.

It must come as a blow to a person who according to popular legend, boasts not one, but two books full of her “iconic” selfies and ‘belfies’ (butt selfies, if the term has eluded you.) In fact, Kim is so in love with her behind, she has now had it made into a ‘Kimoji’ – that’s right – and shaped into a pool inflatable.

Still, her appearance was not universally criticized, as some quarters found it brave for the mother-of-two to show off what some perceive as an imperfection. Susanna Reid, one of the hosts of ITV’s Good Morning Britain defended the reality television personality, believing women would “embrace her honesty” and claiming “cellulite is to be celebrated”.
