When you think about grand love, you may have pictures from romantic scenes in your head. These are all from the movies you’ve watched, where love is depicted as something so romantic that almost cannot exist in real life. We are reminded of running through a crowded airport, sending love letters, being faithful for years, and all of this can rarely be found in real life. Love does mean grand things like the above-mentioned ones, but it is also found in the simplest daily routines.
The Korean artist “Puuung” is about to change your way of seeing love, unlike any movie. She says on her Facebook profile:
“Love is something that everybody can relate to. And Love comes in ways that we can easily overlook in our daily lives. So, I try to find the meaning of love in our daily lives and make it into artwork.”
She has created and drawn illustrations which show us that the little things matter much more than we give them credit for.
Not only has she created these wonderful illustrations, but she also published a book in two volumes, which you can easily find on Amazon. People have given rave reviews. One commenter says: “Absolutely wonderful book. I don’t know how to read Korean and would have enjoyed knowing what the sayings are, but the artwork is truly amazing and fun. This artist is truly aware of the details of her artwork. Very well done.”
In the videos and illustrations below, you can experience the “Love Is” story, which is updated every Tuesday and Friday on Grafolio.
Here is a list of some of his best love illustrations that you can relate to. Some will make you laugh, some might make you want to shed a tear or two, but most of them will remind you of true love.
