Reality star, Kourtney Kardashian with the help of PrettyLittleThing clothing of party wear is definitely turning heads. This might be your favorite Kardashian brand actually and hey, it’s affordable!
The 37-year-old is very proud of her line, joining the likes of Khloe’s Good American clothing like, Kylie’s Cosmetics and Kim’s KKW makeup line. The oldest from the sisters is happy to prove that she might come first to the line when we talk about fashion.
Kourtney knows this business since she and her sisters Kim and Khloe founded their boutique named DASH in 2006. Earlier this year, the sisters wanted to sell the DASH stores since the boutiques were outdated but Kourtney was very hesitant about it.
She told Kim during an emotional moment on KUWTK, “After Dad passed away, having DASH really gave us something to do together as sisters and kept us together.”
They also launched the Kardashian Kollection in 2011 at Sears but the line appeared to be too expensive for people to shop there. Sears found it hard to sell the pieces even with deep discounts with since a lace bodice sheath dress that costed near $200 was being sold for $30 at the end of the partnership.
Seems like Kourtney learned her lessons so she won’t be making huge mistakes this time.
Pretty little dresses
Kourtney launched her own line in a collaboration with PrettyLittleThing where you can find lots of mini dresses, high heels and drool-worthy jackets. She kept her sisters in mind while designing.
She told PeopleStyle, “I would say the bike shorts are so Kim. One of the colorful furs is definitely Khloé. Kendall, maybe the oversized blazer that you could wear over the bike shorts or as a dress with belt. Kylie is definitely a dress girl — she’d be in one of the sequin dresses. For my mom, there’s a really cool high-neck black long sleeved dress with openings on the side.”
She also talks about her favorite piece in the collection:
“My favorite piece is the black satin jumpsuit. I love that you can wear it from day-to-night, with sneakers, with boots, with heels or a belt. There are a lot of different ways you can wear it.”
Kourt also studied fashion design while in high school and made a lot of costumes for the theater students.
She said, “I used to sew my friends’ clothes on the weekend if we were going out and they wanted something, just for fun.”
The price is the second best thing about the line (after the clothes obviously) where most of the clothing is priced under $65.
At the launch party in LA on Wednesday, October 25, she wore a $45 black sequin dress and the $55 lace-up pumps. Her boyfriend Younes Bendijma and friend Wiz Khalifa helped her to celebrate what she believes will be a successful venture.
