Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian might lose millions in the courtroom.
When the rich and famous get accused of lifting designs and styles from well-known artists and personalities of the world, things get very interesting. It’s funny because with all that money they have nothing but time to create and make new, unique things for their own brand. This time, Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian are the ones to be heading to the courtroom to defend their decisions.
Kylie and Kendall were being called out for using copyrighted images of Ozzy Ozbourne, Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G with their own images on top of the t-shirts. But, they immediately stopped selling them when they were released and then apologized for it.
Kylie stated, “These designs were not well thought out and we deeply apologize to anyone that has been upset and/or offended.”
Kim Kardashian’s line of KKW makeup was released on June 21st, 2017 but there is a professional makeup line out there that is mad about Kim’s line.
One letter off
Kirsten Kjaer Weiss has been selling her KW line for years and now doesn’t want to be overshadowed by a celebrity. Kirsten said that Kim was “knowing, willing and deliberate” when she gave her line a similar name. She wants KKW Cosmetics to change its name.
Kim is now prepared to fight the lawsuit saying that the names and lines aren’t similar at all. She also said that the name was good to go before she released the makeup.
Now for little sister Kylie…
Just after she let the t-shirts go, in promotions for her new reality show Life of Kylie, you can clearly see a neon-lit biting lip design. Turns out that it is not a very original design and she may not have the right to use it.
Artist Sara Pope created her Temptation Neon logo in 2015, that is very similar to the pink lips that she has been sporting. But Kylie’s camp already responded to the similarities so she might be okay.
Not Her Fault
The lips were created by a third party so she has nothing to do with their creation.
