Twenty-four-year-old singer Liam Payne celebrated Christmas with his son and his partner Cheryl Tweedy. After that, the former One Direction member took to his Twitter account which is followed by over 30 million users and reflected on his new life as a father. The day after Christmas, the One Direction member posted a photo with his nine-month-old son Bear, admitting getting a child was a life-changing moment for him and his girlfriend.
“2017 has been a crazy year! I’m gonna post a memory every day this week. First has to be my baby boy Bear! Holding him for the first time is a memory I will never forget and watching him grow up is just amazing to see,” Liam tweeted.
The Wolverhampton-born singer also praised Cheryl for the ‘incredible’ work as Bear’s mother and said he couldn’t “thank her enough” for everything she’s done.
He added: “@cherylofficial has been an incredible mother to baby Bear since the day he was born and I can’t thank her enough for that.”
The former One Direction member has set himself a goal to post a new fond memory of his action-packed year each day this week. He also thanked his fans for his debut solo single ‘Strip That Down’, which was released in May.
This comes after the singer previously claimed fatherhood has “changed him in every single way”.
Before Christmas, the 24-year-old said: “It’s changed me in every single way. It’s the first thing you think about in the morning and the last thing you think about at night… It’s his first Christmas. He’s only going to be interested in the wrapping paper, so buy the shiniest one!”
Also, the star revealed that he was excited to spend his first Christmas as a father this year.
“It’s going to be amazing. We’ve been arranging getting the stockings and the names on them and all that cute stuff. All my family are coming over. We’ll have a big Christmas dinner,” he revealed.
