It’s not just the Directioners who can’t wait for a One Direction reunion, but also members of the band. Apparently, Liam Payne can’t wait for the band reunion everyone is hoping for. The Strip That Down singer is amazed by the band’s success and he can’t believe he and the rest of 1D have equaled the Beatles record of having three members have their solo albums top the charts.
The 24-year-old singer – who has a seven-month-old son with the singer Cheryl Ann Tweedy, still hasn’t’ released a solo record. However, he is more than proud of Zayn Malik, Harry Styles and Niall Horan making it on the pop charts with their solo albums. The Bedroom Floor singer speaking to OK Magazine said: “It’s amazing. The 24-year-old singer from Wolverhampton, United Kingdom believes that the band is still popular thanks to social media. The members of the boyband went their separate ways 18 mounts ago but with a promise that they’ll reunite.
Liam told OK! magazine “We’re the first band to have a break in the eye of social media and I think that’s helped us a lot because before you couldn’t see what people were up to and now it’s all on Instagram stories.”
“So I think that’s had a massive effect on it. It’s been fantastic and we keep on going, but obviously great music brings musical success and everyone is doing fantastic so far.” He explained.
