When you get to a certain age, you might become a little too hard on yourself regarding your achievements in life. Or if you are driven and ambitious, you might be hard on yourself constantly. One of the greatest truths is, we sometimes just need to look at our lives from a different angle to see our real position and placement.
The problem is, during the everyday rat race most of us find ourselves in, it is difficult to change angles and get the right stage lighting and backdrops to observe ourselves realistically. Well, we are here to help! Read up and see whether you’ve been too critical about your life so far.
1. You have a job
Even if it’s not your dream job and you sometimes feel your work is soul-destroying, just holding a position that allows you not to live in your parents’ basement is already an achievement that has eluded many people.

Maybe you ate out one too many times and only had enough to cover rent and WiFi, but that’s more important than those student loan payments, right?
3. You have at least one person to confide in
Is there someone you trust enough to confide in about traumatic, life-changing, happy or embarrassing occurrences? That’s a big win and don’t let anyone convince you otherwise!

If restraining yourself from eating the two pounds of cookie dough in your fridge is a genuine concern, then you’re doing pretty well. Enjoy your first world problems from now on!
5. At least one person in your life makes you laugh, intentionally or not
Maybe it’s that coworker who mispronounces everything, or maybe it’s your mother writing “Don’t Touch Food” on the fridge for the items she doesn’t want your dad eating — either way, the most important thing is getting those laughs somehow.

9. You’re working towards a goal
Maybe it’s a dream career that feels miles away, or maybe you have no clue what you want to do with your life, and all you want right now is to have a good meal, but hey, that’s fine too. Don’t feel bad about taking baby steps anywhere.
